Svetlana

Svetlana is a Barcelona musical duo born in the summer of 2020 after years of composing songs during endless party nights. Their songs focus is on divertimento, their defining, unifying trait, but also from a standpoint of vindication. They use music to channel criticism through humour, as well as the need for communion and empowerment.

Svetlana is the result of that joke that is best taken seriously because it has come to stay. Svetlana is the experience of zentennial youth: the desolation of a precarious present and an uncertain future, and the queer experience within a world where the norm prevails.
